Another case on Bhanu

The Crime Investigation Department on Wednesday registered a fresh case of extortion against gangster M. Bhanu Kiran, Mangali Krishna of Pulivendula and others. CID officials booked the case after a complaint was lodged by Hundri Neeva irrigation project sub-contractors, Venkata Narasimha Reddy of Mahbubnagar and S. V. Ranga Reddy of Nellore. The duo are sub- contractors for the canal works from JK Constructions in a Rs 73- crore project. In December 2008, Bhanu Kiran, along with Mangali Krishna and Madhumohan Reddy, had extorted Rs 1.3 crore from them. A fresh case was booked in this regard.

Meanwhile, film producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao appeared before the CID to complain against director Teja. He alleged that in 2009, he had obtained a loan of Rs 1.05 crore from Srinivas for making a movie. The matter was settled by Bhanu and Mangali Krishna
