ACB to question jail superintendent
After the state prisons department proposed to transfer the Chanchalguda jail superintendent for allegedly accepting money from mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, the Anti-Corruption Bureau is learnt to be closing in on the accused for questioning in the cash-for-bail scam involving Mr Janardhan Reddy. The prisons department sent proposals to the government seeking transfer of the superintendent Keshav Naidu, as principal, State institute of correctional administration, Hyderabad.
Superintendent denies charges against him
Meanwhile, in a response to the report published in these columns, Mr Kesava Naidu denied allegations against him. He said all the allegations against him were false and imaginary. He added that he did not accept any favours from Janardhan Reddy. Mr Naidu further stated that Janardhan Reddy was given special category status by the court and that’s why he enjoyed special amenities.
