1 killed, 1 hurt as bike hits road divider
One person was killed and another injured when a speeding two-wheeler rammed into a divider at Chandrayangutta on Tuesday night. The victim was brought dead after a 108 ambulance refused to take him to the hospital. An angry mob vandalised the ambulance at the accident spot. Police said the decea-sed, Firoz Ali Khan, 28, an autorickshaw driver and Bilal, 29 , a car driver, were going towards Ballaguda from Chandrayanguda crossroad when their Honda Shine bike hit the divider at Ashamabad road on Tuesday night. In the accident, the driver Firoz was severely injured.
According to Chandrayangutta S-I K. Veerabhadra, as locals gathered at the spot, an ambulance from Rajendranagar was going to Kamineni with two patients. When the people stopped the ambulance and asked the driver to carry the injured, the ambulance driver refused saying that there were already two patients in the vehicle, and left the spot. The police rushed the injured to Osmania GH. However the victim died on the way.
