Paul to perform at William’s wedding

The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly been approached to perform for the future king of Britain and his fiancee Kate Middleton at a Buckingham Palace reception after their April 29 nuptials because the couple believes his music has universal appeal. A source said, “William and Kate have chosen their wedding list and Paul McCartney is their number one choice to perform. They can’t think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings.”
Paul, 68, is said to have confided in pals that he feels “privileged” after receiving the invitation a few weeks ago.
