Paul McCartney to wed today

The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney will tie the knot with fiancee Nancy Shevell at London’s Marylebone Register Office, the same venue where he married late first wife Linda in 1969. Nancy’s dress has been personally

designed by Paul’s designer daughter, Stella, and after marrying, the newlyweds will celebrate with a party at the singer’s home in Sussex, South East England. A source told The Sun newspaper, “Paul’s found happiness at last and can’t wait to marry Nancy. The rest of the family love her and are thrilled she’s made their dad so happy.”
Paul, 69, and 51-year-old Nancy, who have been dating for four years, also plan a second ceremony next week in the Hamptons area of Long Island, New York.
The couple’s engagement was announced in May, with Paul giving Nancy a vintage 1925 Cartier engagement solitaire diamond ring and she admitted the proposal came as a “total surprise”. When asked about the wedding, she previously said, “Small. Just our families. I don’t know the exact date. Don’t ask what I’ll wear.”
