Katie to star in How I Met Your Mother

Actress Katie Holmes is returning to her television roots for a cameo in US comedy show How I Met Your Mother. Holmes, who rose to fame with TV series Dawson’s Creek, will play the woman in the “slutty pumpkin” costume, who was

introduced to fans as a faceless character in the first season of How I Met Your Mother, reports contactmusic.com. “Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” said Craig Thomas, the show creator.
