Gwyn’s expensive recipes criticised

Gwyneth Paltrow’s cookbook has been slammed by critics, as cooking up a day’s family meals using recipes from her book, It’s All Good, can cost nearly £200.
US food writer Beth Greenfield worked out the cost of buying ingredients for the recipes in America. The meals are so expensive, as the 40-year-old actress recommends buying particular brands for her recipes.
“Seriously, Gwyneth, we want to work with you —even eat with you! But we can’t seem to afford it. Unless you’re buying, of course,” the Mirror quoted Greenfield as writing.
For example, the star suggests buying gluten-free flour made by celebrity chef Thomas Keller that costs £13-a-bag.
Fancy ingredients that are required for her recipes include duck eggs, manuka honey and piquillo peppers.
Award-winning food writer Julie Bellus said that the question that arises is why people buy into the junk advice of celebrity health promoters who have no background in health.

Working out is torture for Sofia
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara hates going to the gym and describes her work-out sessions as “torture”.
The 40-year-old actress accepted her work-out sessions as a part of her job with an added advantage of keeping her in shape, reported Contactmusic.
“For me, it’s torture to go to the gym. I’m in a bad mood before I’m going, while I’m doing it. I mean, I hate my trainer! But then it’s a reality. And I have accepted it as part of my job and as part of trying to be healthy. I know I look good for 40, but it’s not the same. And now with high-definition television, it’s why, why? Somebody has to stop this torture!” said Vergara.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
