Midfielder Ritu to lead India in Asia Cup

Midfielder Ritu Rani will lead an 18-member Indian women’s hockey team to the 8th Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, it was announced here on Friday.

The eight-nation event, to be held from September 21 to 27, is the continental qualification tournament for the FIH 2014 Women’s World Cup.
India open their campaign against Hong Kong on September 21, and take on China the following day. The squad will depart for Malaysia on September 16.
