Doctors report a spurt in casesof stress and say youngsters are subject to high levels of stress at the work place. Most are prey to ailments.
However, the good news is that researchers have come up with a list of stress-busting food that helps combat this problem.
Says Dr Raghu, a general physician at a famous hospital, “People tend to ignore their eating habits owing to their lifestyle. However, simple food like bananas and spinach has proven to be extremely effective when it comes to bringing down stress levels.”
Some foods are rich in calcium and experts say that this mineral helps to bring down nervousness. Raghu says, “Foods such as millets are high in calcium content and calcium is best suited for those with high irritability and nervousness. Fruits like banana that are high in potassium helps lower fatigue, low-blood sugar and breathlessness, which are all again symptoms of high stress levels.”
