Transform with TranceForm yoga

From time immemorial, yoga has been used to cure a variety of illnesses and maintain a balanced, holistic state of health and well-being.
Now, by using techniques and routines from the ancient art of yoga and combining them with soul-stirring trance music, Dinesh Dagar’s yoga has come up with ‘Yoga TranceForm’ that takes the body into a state of meditative trance, where the outer body connects with the inner pranic body.

“After working with several yoga gurus and observing their techniques at close quarters, I found that the wisdom of yoga could give faster results when combined with modern techniques,” says Dinesh.
After years of practising and experimenting, he invented this form, where trance music plays an important role.
“Like trance music, this form of yoga has an underlying rhythm with a constantly changing pace. This technique of constantly changing the pace of the asanas in tune with the music, does not allow the body or mind to drift and enforces awareness. Mental focus on the body part while it is being worked on, multiplies and accelerates the impact of the exercise,” he explains.
The other unique feature of Yoga TranceForm is that it combines the benefits and techniques of cardio-vascular exercises, interval training and yoga.
“The postures have to be done in a specific sequence and at specific speeds. This way of working on the different layers of the body — Anmay Khosha (physical body), Pranayam Khosha (life force) Manomay Khosha (mental body), Vijanya Khosha (awareness body), Anandmay Khosha (super consciousness) not only gives you great external form but also an inner sense of well-being.”
It may sound bizarre if someone told you it was possible to attain six-pack abs by doing yoga. But Dinesh has proof that it can be done. “It is certainly possible to attain six-pack abs in almost six weeks. Naukasana is an excellent way to tone the abdominal muscles and a few variations can help you get attractive abs,” he says.
He further explains the Naukasana with the variation:
w Lie on your back with the knees bent and lift your feet up till they reach the level of your knees
w Interlock your fingers behind the neck. Lift your body upwards
w Move both towards each other, forehead towards the knees and knees towards the forehead, with exhalation
w Stretch your legs outwards and head backwards
w Keep moving like that at least 30 times
w Hold for 10 seconds

So, the next time you are on your yoga mat, don’t hesitate try some yogic twists for better results.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
