Inter-city leg begins tomorrow

School teams practice ahead of the inter-city leg of the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge at the Bangalore Football Stadium.

Country’s top Under-14 players, from leading schools across six cities, will vie for the top honours in the inter-city leg of the third edition of Mahindra Youth Football Challenge 2013, that gets under way in Bengaluru from Wednesday.

The six participating schools, selected from intra-state rounds held in Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kolkata, Goa and Kerala, are Greenwood International (Bangaluru), Don Bosco High School (Mumbai), Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj (New Delhi), Ashoknagar Bidyasagar Banibhavan (Kolkata), Don Bosco School (Goa), and Kerala’s St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School.
The school teams will play each other in league format to determine the top two, who will then play the final on April 22 at the Bangalore Football Stadium.
