Eden, Shinji will make EPL stylish
It seems that the Premier League is becoming an attractive playing ground again. The departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Cesc Fabregas made many unsure about the drawing pull of the English game but the capture of Eden Hazard by Chelsea and Shinji Kagawa by Manchester United has shown that the English Clubs can roll with the Spanish giants.
So who got the better deal? Both Hazard and Kagawa are similar in respect of the fact that they both bring something new to their respective clubs.
Manchester United have severely lacked an attacking threat from the centre of midfield ever since Paul Scholes reinvented himself into a deep lying playmaker and Kagawa brings that to the table.
Last season United relied upon their wings to produce and stuttered whenever that route was blocked by opposition tactics.
The Japanese dribbler will be useful in providing an ‘Option B’ when required. His stats for Borrussia Dortmund are impressive and indicate that he has an eye for goal.
Similarly, Chelsea haven’t had a fast and tricky winger plying for them since Arjen Robben left. Eden Hazard more than fits that bill. The Belgian wonderkid has been tearing up the French League for the past three seasons.
He is fast and will take on his man in every chance he gets. For a team who ended last season as a ‘body on the line’ defending unit, Hazard will provide a spark in the attack which will make even Barcelona wary of pushing too many players upfield.
If as rumoured Hulk also joins Hazard at Chelsea, the Blues might be right up there with the two Manchester clubs next season.
