Ansar brace seals win

Mohd Ansar’s brace helped Government School, Sector 11, Rohini beat Pragati Public School, Dwarka, 3-0 in a knock-out match of the 2nd edition of the Airtel Rising Stars-Delhi Leg, at Ganga International School Ground on Wednesday.

Basant struck in the 18th minute to give the Rohini school the lead. Pragati Public School then upped the ante and played aggressively. However, Ansar’s goals in the 29th and 41st minutes put the game firmly in their control.
In another match at the same ground later, Delhi Public School, Rohini, beat Bal Bharti Public School, Rohini, 2-0. Sahil scored both goals (19th and 35th minute) for the winners and put his through to the next round.
The third match of the day was a keenly fought contest with N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka, edging past Lancer Convent School, Rohini 2-1.
Deepanshu opened the account in the 8th minute for Lancer Convent School but Prashant equalised with his strike in the 22nd minute. The winning goal for the Dwarka school came in the 37th minute through Jaskeerat who showed tremendous skill in dribbling past many oppositions defenders and scoring the winner.
