Unique gifts to make an impression
Saint Valentine’s Day, which is now the official day of celebrating love and affection across the globe, is round the corner. If you are planning to impress your date then forget about flowers and chocolates and opt for unique gifts. This year there is a wide range of personalised gifting options in the market and youngsters are buying interesting presents instead of clichéd ones.
A personalised gift like a T-shirt or coffee mug with a photo of your beloved can be a good surprise instead of a jewellery or watch, and it won’t be too heavy on your pocket too. Kirti Verma, who married Vikhyat this year, has planned to surprise her husband with a personal newspaper issue. She says, “I have written a very special article and collated all our pictures to make an exclusive newspaper for him. I want to surprise him and make him feel special on our first Valentine’s Day after marriage.” Many youngsters feel that if you are choosing a gift for your partner, it should be meaningful. Sumit Dhamija, a DU student, says, “I’ll be gifting my girlfriend goldfish on Valentine’s Day. She is really fond of fish. We will name them Romeo and Juliet.”
Ritika Khanna, a marketing professional has ordered a special bamboo plant for her beloved as a gift for V-Day. She says, “The green Feng Shui bamboo plant is lucky according to Chinese mythology, and my boyfriend believes in such things so he’ll be happy to receive it.”
