Youth killed, 3 hurt in mishap

A 21-year-old youth was killed and three others severely injured after an Audi car being driven by a girl rammed into their car after being hit by unidentified vehicle at Zakir Hussain Marg in Hazrat Nizamuddin area of Southeast Delhi. The girl also suffered injuries in the incident.
A senior police official said the incident took place on Friday morning. The official said the deceased was identified as Deepanshu, a resident of Ashok Vihar, while the injured were identified as Vipul, Vikas and Sharad. Priyanka who was driving the Audi car was also injured.
“Priyanka, a resident of Greater Kailash, said that she was on her way home from India Gate. When she reached Zakir Hussain Marg, an unknown vehicle hit her car. She lost control over her car which in turn rammed another car in which deceased Deepanshu and his friends were travelling. The car turned turtle,” said the police official.
All the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where Deepanshu was declared brought dead, the official said. Priyanka was referred to Moolchand Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. The police has lodged an FIR in this connection and further probe into the matter is underway.

3 members of a family killed in e-way mishap
Greater Noida, June 28: Three members of a family were killed and as many injured on the Yamuna Expressway near the Sports City as their car rammed into a truck Thursday night.
Krishna Nagar resident Padam Verma, 55, had gone to visit Sheetla Matla temple in Mainpuri with his wife Rani Verma, 46, sister Geeta, 42, and three children Rajat, Aishwarya and Shobit.
On way back via the Yamuna Expressway, his car dashed into a truck and overturned. Padam, Rani and Geeta died on the spot.
