Woman raped by 4 for 4 days
A 20-year-old woman was allegedly held hostage and gangraped by four persons for four days in Gokulpuri area of East Delhi.
A senior police official said they have lodged an FIR in this respect and have arrested the two persons identified as Digambar and Ravi.
According to information, the victim, a native of Bihar, got married a month ago. She lived in Meerut with her husband Ram Babu. They planned to go to Punjab but due to some reason they alighted in Loni where they met the accused. The accused took them to Gokulpuri area on the pretext of providing a job to her husband and a rented accommodation.
“The accused held the victim hostage and had been gangraping her for the past four days. On Tuesday, they threatened the victim and her husband to go to Bihar or they would kill them. They made them sit in an autorickshaw to go to ISBT. However, on the way the victim narrated the incident to the autorickshaw driver who was an activist of Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party. He took them to the Gokulpuri police station and called other activists and workers. They met the SHO and got an FIR lodged in this respect,” said the police source.
The source said the AAP workers also staged a protest against the police and were lathicharged. Six of them were detained by the police.
“An FIR of gangrape was lodged and two of the accused were arrested while two are still absconding. The AAP workers were detained after they went on a rampage,” said the police official.
