Woman raped by 3 in Dwarka

A 26-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by three men in Dwarka Sector 16 area of Southwest Delhi. A senior police official said an FIR has been lodged and one of the accused been arrested.

A police source said that the victim had an argument with her neighbours and also made a complaint in this respect with the local police. Meanwhile, one Mukram threatened the victim and told her to take her complaint back.
“On Monday night, Mukram again called the victim. After sometime he approached the victim with two associates Kashmim and Nasim. Finding the victim alone they molested her and when she objected they gangraped her and fled,” said the police.
The victim called the police and was taken to a nearby government hospital where rape was established in her medical examination. “Mukram was arrested while two others are absconding,” said the police official.
In another incident, a three-year-old play school student was allegedly raped by her cab driver in Khayala, West Delhi. A senior police official said that an FIR has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The incident came to light two days ago. “The parents of the victim got suspicious when they saw blood stains on her uniform when she returned home. The scared victim told her parents that the cab driver sexually assaulted her. The victim’s parents then approached the police,” said the police official.
The official said the victim was taken to DDU Hospital and a case was lodged after rape was confirmed in the medical report. The police has arrested the cab driver but did not divulge his name.
