Woman held for thrashing stalker
A 20-year-old woman was arrested along with her sister-in-law for allegedly thrashing her stalker after calling him to her home in Pul Prahladpur.
“Santosh, a resident of Lal Kuan, allegedly harassed Rakhee at a mobile recharge shop. Rakhee called the police and lodged a complaint against him but his family intervened and a meeting was called at Rakhee’s home. Santosh alleged that when they reached her house, Rakhee beat him up with a stick,” said a police source.
The police was called and Santosh was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre with head injuries.
The police lodged an FIR under Sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 342 (holding someone hostage) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against Rakhee and Renu.
Meanwhile, when Rakhee got to know an FIR has been registered against her, she also lodged a case that Santosh was stalking her and had molested her at a mobile recharge shop.
The police recorded the statement of Santosh who said that that his cellphone had fallen on the ground and he was picking it up when he accidentally fell on her. Rakhee slapped him before calling the police.
