Woman held for robbing businessman
A woman who robbed a businessman in Punjabi Bagh on June 7 with her three accomplices has been arrested by the police along with an associate on Wednesday.
“The victim Simran Narula, a resident of West Punjabi Bagh, had registered an FIR that he was robbed of `5 lakhs at gun point. He told the police that the assailants came in a white Skoda Octavia car driven by a woman,” said a senior police officer. While checking CCTV footage, the police noted the registration number of the car.
The police checked the call details of the employees of the victim and found that one Surender Singh received a call on his mobile phone from an ex-employee of showroom namely Manoj Anand few minutes before the complainant was leaving for home with cash.
“Manoj broke down and confessed his involvement. He had hatched the loot plan along with Rajinder Kaur, Deepu and Tiger,” said a senior police officer.
The police has recovered `3.50 lakhs and impounded the Skoda Octavia car.
