Woman held hostage, gangraped
A 19-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped by a man who held her hostage in his rented accommodation in Noida area where he and his two associates, including a juvenile, gangraped her for about a week.
The incident has been reported from the Mayur Vihar area of East Delhi.
A senior police official said they have arrested two accused in this connection who have been identified as Alok, alias Sonu, and Ravi.
The official said the woman was missing since June 28 and an FIR was filed in this connection on June 29.
A police source said that the woman had first met the accused Alok at a railway station and they exchanged phone numbers. They later became friends.
“On June 28, the victim made a call to Alok who expressed the desire to meet her. Alok then took her to his rented accommodation in Noida where he called his two friends, including a juvenile, and gangraped the victim. They held the victim hostage there for a week,” said the source.
The source said the accused then dumped the victim near the Mayur Vihar Metro Station. The girl approached the police and narrated the whole incident.
The police took the victim to a nearby government hospital for medical check-up.
The police added sections of gangrape under the IPC after rape was established in her medical examination.
The police conducted a raid and arrested the accused from Noida while search is on to nab the juvenile accused.
