Woman gangraped in Noida
A 32-year-old woman working as a domestic help was allegedly abducted and gangraped in Noida by two men, who had forcibly dragged her into a car, and was later dumped near Kalindi Kunj here on Saturday night.
According to the police, the victim was forcefully dragged inside the car by the two assailants who then gangraped her in a jungle in Noida area.
The victim, who hails from Darjeeling, works as a maid servant in Sector 93 and lives in the same locality.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, she was returning from work at around 8.30 pm on Saturday when a Santro car stopped just in front of her.
“The driver of the car pulled me inside. There were two people in the car and they overpowered me. They took me to a jungle and raped me. Later they threw me near Kalandi Kunj,” wrote the victim in her FIR registered at the Noida Phase-II police station.
The woman is married and has a seven-year-old daughter.
The police has arrested one of the accused , identified as Kamarpal, in the case while the other is still at large.
Both the accused are residents of Gejha village in Noida.
“We have registered a case and have also arrested one of the accused Kamarpal, a cement trader. He knew the victim. We have also recovered the car but his accomplice is absconding. A manhunt has been launched to nab him,” station house officer of the Noida Phase-II police station Randhir Singh told reporters here.
The victim had approached the police on Sunday morning.
The police officials sent her to district hospital for medical examination which later confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.
