Woman alleges rape, sodomy by bank CEO

A former airhostess has alleged that she was raped and sodomised by the CEO of a renowned multinational bank on the pretext of marriage. She also has alleged that the accused also robbed her of jewellery worth several lakh in which his father helped him. An FIR in this connection was lodged with Vasant Kunj (north) police station on June 10.
A senior police official said the victim, a divorcee, used to work with a Dubai-based airline.
She wanted to settle down in India to look after her five-year-old son, who was living with her father.
“She told the cops that in 2008-09, she met the accused, who works as a CEO of a private bank, through a common friend in Mumbai. The accused offered her jobs with several private companies, including banks.
The accused also told that she should get an MBA degree and promised her to help her get that degree from Italy, but the victim refused,” said the police official.
The official said the victim further alleged that in November 2009, when she was living for Dubai, the CEO took her to a five star hotel where he proposed her for marriage.
She said the cops that next time when she visited India, the accused took her to Hotel Grand in Vasant Kunj area where he developed physical relation with her, promising to marry her.
The victim also has alleged that the accused took her to London and Singapore. She alleged that the accused had unnatural sex with her after which she had to rush a private hospital.
“She lived in Mumbai at his house. But the accused refused to divorce his wife. The victim has alleged that the accused also took his jewellery and was demanded sexual favour in return. She alleged his father, Kamlakar Mishra, also helped him in robbing her jewellery. We have lodged an FIR and are looking into the matter,” said the police.
