Two more held in Hisar gangrape case
The Haryana police arrested two more persons Saturday in connection with the gangrape of a teenage dalit girl here, taking the total number of arrests made in the case so far to 11.
The two accused, identified as Kuldeep, alias Moosa, of Dabra village and Sunil, a resident of Mangali village, were arrested on Saturday and were produced before a local court which remanded them to three-day police custody, police sources said.
With this, the total number of accused arrested so far in the case has gone up to 11, they said, adding that one of the accused Sunil, who was arrested earlier, will be released as the victim declined to identify him.
On Friday, Congress MP Ashok Tanwar met the aggrieved family and assured all help to them.
The teenage dalit girl was allegedly raped by a group of youth who had also threatened to make public her objectionable pictures, following which her shocked father had committed suicide on September 18.
The incident had caused widespread furore, with the National Commission for Scheduled Caste seeking an action taken report (ATR) from the Haryana administration in connection with the case.

4 fresh dengue cases reported, count up at 68

Four more cases of dengue were reported in the city taking the total to 68. According to data provided by the city municipal corporations, 65 cases originated in the city, while three others detected here originated outside.
The four new dengue cases included two from Central Zone and one each from South and Karol Bagh Zones.
A nine-year-old girl had died due to dengue on Friday.
Last year, the city saw 216 cases, including eight originating outside, and three deaths. In 2010, there were 4,108 cases, including five deaths. In 2009 there were 29 cases and no deaths.
