Students find physics paper lengthy
The students were disappointed after the first Central Board of Secondary School Class 12 board exam as they complained of a lengthy question paper.
“The physics paper was easy but too lengthy to be finished in three hours specially the three mark questions. I could attempt only 80 per cent of the paper,” Aditya Kalra, a student of DAV school said.
Some of the students found the questions twisted. “The questions were not asked directly and several questions demanded drawing of graphs several times which ate away a big chunk of time,” said Amit Kumar, a student of Delhi Police Public School.
According to teachers, students were not satisfied with their performance on the first day. “My students are not satisfied as they said they could not attempt all the questions despite the fact that they knew the answers,” Anureeta Singh, a physics teacher said.
The parents were seen pacifying their children. “I told my son to forget the physics paper and start preparing for the March 7 chemistry paper. I hope he does well from now on,” Swarn Kanda a mother of a Class 12 student said.
Over 1.8 million students are sitting for the board examinations across the country and abroad. This year, 1,061,566 students of Class 10 will appear for continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) under the CBSE. As many as 769,929 students — 454,131 boys and 315,798 girls — are appearing for Class 12 board exams.
