Speeding Blueline kills man
A 20-year-old man on his way to office was crushed by a speeding Blueline bus in north Delhi on Wednesday.
The incident took place on the Mall Road around 9 am. The victim, Sandeep, was on his way to his office in Karol Bagh. Sandeep was trying to get into the bus plying from Nand Nagri to Anand Parbat when he fell down as the bus started moving, said the police. He lost balance and came under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot. The driver fled from the scene after the accident. Angry locals allegedly damaged the bus and blocked traffic for some time.

‘Remove all posters by Games ’

The Delhi government’s urban development minister, A.K. Walia on Wednesday stated that around 63,000 posters, hoardings and boards have been removed from the capital between January and August.
Chairing a review meeting on defacement, Mr Walia also asked the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Delhi police to make the capital free of posters and hoardings before the October 3-14 Commonwealth Games by launching a forceful drive against it during this month.
According to officials, the Delhi police registered 247 cases against defaulters during April-August.
