Sodomy victim now undergoes mental checkup
A six-doctor team of All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences conducted psychological examination of the eight year old tumour patient, allegedly victim of sexual harassment by a resident doctor, to check if the brain is functioning normally.
The eight-year-old child had alleged that a resident doctor, Shrejoy P. Joshua, had sodomised him. This lent to the doctor’s suspension on the orders of Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. The AIIMS administration is trying to be sure before taking any strict action against the accused doctor.
The doctors examined him for 45 minutes and tested his memory and ability to retain. He was asked the same question again and again and each time his response was analysed. In the second phase, psychotography was done.
The doctors want to analyse whether the allegations are correct or not.
