Slain teen’s mom demands CBI probe, arrest of police officer

Manju Pandey, 40, the mother of Karan Pandey, 19, who was killed in police firing while riding pillion on the motorcycle of his friend Puneet Sharma performing stunts near Connaught Place, has demanded a CBI probe into death of her son.

“I want a CBI inquiry into the matter. The Delhi police deliberately opened fire at my son,” she said.
She said why the medical examination of the policemen was not conducted at RML Hospital. “I am sure, the cops who opened fire at my son and his friend were in an inebriated condition. I know the Delhi police will try to save its corrupt officials,” she alleged.
Meanwhile, the last rites of Karan Pandey were performed at Malviya Nagar in South Delhi. His maternal uncle lit the pyre.
Local BJP leader and former mayor of MCD Arti Mehra also met the family members of Karan Pandey. She assured the family members that they will be provided all necessary legal aid.
Meanwhile, Manju said the police inspector who opened fire at Karan should be arrested for opening fire without any reason.
