Search on for body of 24-yr MBA
The body of the 24-year-old MBA, who was suspected to have jumped into the Yamuna from ITO bridge on Friday evening, has not yet been recovered. The police has, meanwhile, prima facie ruled out any other possibility than the incident being that of suicide. With the girl leaving her car abandoned on the bridge and no witnesses seeing her jump, theories were being floated that there could be more to it than what looked apparent.
Deputy commissioner of police (central), Jaspal Singh, said that the search for the body was still going on. “As of now, it seems to be a case of suicide and there does not seem to be any other possibility,” said Mr Singh.
Neha, daughter of a Doordarshan engineer living in Babar Lane of Connaught Place, had left her house on Friday evening in her Maruti WagonR and then sent an SMS to her sister that she was at the ITO bridge. When the police was informed, the cops reached the spot and found the car abandoned on the bridge.
