The manager of a popular pub in southeast Delhi’s Greater Kailash area was assaulted by an unidentified assailant late on Saturday night.
Police sources said the incident took place at around 2.15 am on Sunday when the victim, identified as Sanjay Jaiswal, who works as a manager at Urban Pind, a popular pub in the upscale Greater Kailash Part I, had parked his car.
“Jaiswal, a resident of east Delhi, was walking towards the pub when an unidentified assailant, who was carrying a weapon, intercepted him and the two entered into an argument. The argument turned violent and the assailant took out the weapon and stabbed him in his face, inflicting deep cuts on both sides. The assailant then ran away from the spot while the victim started screaming for help,” a source said.
The sources said the matter was reported to the police control room at around 2.30 am and a team of policemen was rushed to the spot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for primary medication and a medical examination after which he was discharged. The police has registered a case under Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) at the Greater Kailash police station but no arrests have been made so far.
“It appears to be a case of personal enmity. The pub is frequented by a number of people, mostly youth, and sometimes it happens that a customer feels not being served properly. The victim’s statement has been recorded. The assailant will be arrested soon,” a senior police official said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
