Owner found slain in bakery
A 30-year-old businessman was found brutally murdered in his bakery in Sultanpuri area of Outer Delhi on Monday morning.
A senior police official said that robbery seems to be the motive behind the murder as `60,000 in cash were missing from the bakery.
The police is suspecting the role of his three newly-appointed employees who are missing.
“We got a call at around 7.30 am that a man was found murdered in his shop in Inder Enclave area. The deceased was identified as Mohammed Aashiq. His head was smashed with a hammer and iron weights. His body bore multiple injuries. An FIR of murder-cum-robbery has been lodged and the body sent for post-mortem,” said the official.
The police found the bakery shop ransacked and the cash missing. The family members of the deceased said that Aashiq had employed three men around four days ago and that they were missing after the incident.
“The four men had slept in the shop with Aashiq but were missing in the morning. We have got to know that they have criminal record,” he said.
The official said that the police has identified the four suspect employees and was conducting raids to nab them. However, the official refused to divulge their names as the probe is on.
Aashiq is survived by his widow and three children. He came to the city in 2002 and had started the bakery around three years ago.
