NRI student murder: 3 held for supplying drugs
The police on Friday arrested three persons in connection with selling LSD to the friends of the deceased 21-year-old NRI student Anmol Sarna.
The three, identified as Bhuwan Sharma, Nehul and Dushyant Lamba, were arrested from Noida. One of their accomplices managed to escape.
A police source said they scanned the Whatsapp messages of Sarna and identified the drug sellers. Dushyant is said to be a friend of Madhav.
Meanwhile, a police source close to the investigation said Dushyant, a resident of Indirapuram, works as an event manager and has contacts abroad.
“We found that he books orders for drugs online. He used to procure LSD through his Singapore and Hongkong contacts,” said the source.
They were produced before metropolitan magistrate Deepak Wason on Friday. The court granted a day’s police remand for Lamba and sent Bhuwan and Nehul to judicial custody till Saturday. “There is an e-mail ID through which Lamba takes order and delivers the drugs. A bank account has also been seized in which huge money flow from abroad is detected,” the police said.
Seeking more time for investigation, the police said, “There are mails that can establish that he (Lamba) procured large quantities of drugs from China.”
