No need to panic: Duta chief
The Delhi University cut off list has left the student community shocked. Many criticised the cut off reaching 100 per cent for B.Com. Honours course at SRCC.
However, president of Delhi University Teachers’ Association, Aditya Narayan Misra said, “There is so much of panic when necessarily there is no need to panic. I am hopeful that the percentage will go down. The next cut-off will be realistic and more students will be accommodated”.
Students Welfare Office associate dean, Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, said, “Colleges have exercised caution before declaring the first list. Aspirants are advised not to get discouraged. Most of the colleges are expected to announce four more lists.”
Meanwhile, the university has set up help desks for the students. The fee ranges between `4,000 to `10,000 for various courses to be paid in cash or by demand draft. The students who meet the cut-off of the first list can take admission from June 16-20. The university will declare the second list on June 21. With a total of five lists this year, unlike four in the past, the admission process will continue till July 13.
