‘No demolition till master plan is amended’

A delegation of city MLAs led by BJP general secretary Vijay Goel met Union urban development minister Kamal Nath on Monday to discuss resolve the problem of unauthorised colonies in the city.

“The Union urban development minister assured us that no demolition will take place before the amended master plan is passed,” Mr Goel said.
Mr Goel complained about the irregularities in granting provisional certificates to unauthorised colonies.
“The 1,639 unauthorised colonies that have been granted provisional certificate include 127 colonies where no infrastructure exists,” he said.
Mere change of ministry from Raj Kumar Chauhan cannot save the Delhi government from its implications. Mr Chauhan is morally responsible for all of this and he should put forth his resignation right away," Mr Goel added.
