NGO exhibits art to empower women, needy
To ensure the welfare of underprivileged women and children, an NGO by the name of Kalp Taru society recently organised an art exhibition in the city. The art exhibition, titled Time Unfolds, associated with the Aniha Art Gallery, was held at the ITC Sheraton hotel here.
The art show was aimed at raising funds which will help empower underprivileged women and children. It was well attended by eminent dignitaries, artists and those from the corporate world. NGO Kalp Taru has already adopted a village in UP where educational and medical facilities along with other development work has been borne by the society.
Renowned artists like Paresh Maity, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Bose Krishnamachary, Ramesh Gojrala, Saral Chandra, Suchi Khanna and Balesh Jindal participated in the show. A total of 15 renowned and upcoming artists came up with extraordinary creations. Proceeds from the sale in this exhibition will be used for the poor, needy women and children. Kalp Taru’s founder, Rajkumari Aggarwal, said that the NGO works to empower underprivileged people. She further said, “This art exhibition is an effort by our NGO to help empower women and underprivileged children and to mobilise the creative community to raise this issue which should be addressed with full commitment by the society at large.”
