Modi to address rally in city Sept. 29
Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel confirmed on Saturday that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders will address a massive rally in the city on September 29.
Mr Goel said, “The September 29 rally will give a further boost to BJP’s poll readiness. The party workers will do door-to-door campaign to reach every household in the city to make the rally a huge success. The party cadres are fully charged up. In the BJP, it is the party cadre at the grassroots level that leads the poll campaign in the real sense. Party cadres are the real strength of the BJP.”
Meanwhile, several senior BJP leaders held a meeting on Saturday to take stock of the preparations for the Delhi Assembly elections.
BJP president Rajnath Singh, Delhi election in charge Nitin Gadkari, Dr Harsh Vardhan and Vijender Gupta, Mange-ram Garg, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Aarti Mehra attended the meeting.
Mr Gadkari called upon all BJP cadres to expose the misdeeds of the Congress government. “The party cadres should approach every home and explain the failures of the Congress government,” he said.
Mr Goel said, “Our focus is on equitable growth, keeping prices under check, providing safety to women, reducing power tariff by at least 30 per cent and most importantly providing a people-friendly, sensitive, transparent, and effective government.”
