Missing son of trader found in Greater Noida
Son of an Agra-based footwear trader was rescued from the clutches of kidnappers in Greater Noida on Sunday.
Residents of Khera village played vital role in foiling the kidnapping and rescuing the boy.
The villagers detained the kidnappers and thrashed them before handing them over to the police. SP (Rural) R.K. Jolly said the boy, identified as four-year-old Saurabh, is a UKG student. His father is a renowned footwear businessman, Vimal Gupta.
The matter came to light on Monday when the villagers informed Jahangirpur police station personnel that a boy was kidnapped from Agra and kept in the village.
According to the police officers, Saurabh was abducted from an area near his school premises in Agra where he was waiting for his father to pick him after school.
Saurabh, who was abducted two weeks ago was brought to the Khera village where the kidnappers had locked him in an abandoned house. “However, in early hours of Sunday, Saurabh managed to come out of the house where he was kept captive,” said the police adding that Saurabh communicated with a few villagers who later informed the police. Investigating officers also added that the kidnappers were thrashed by the villagers. Police officers have now claimed to have arrested three men in connection with the kidnapping.
