Missing girl found dead in Dwarka

An eight-year-old girl who went missing from her Bindapur residence last week, was found dead in a drain in Dwarka. A local saw the body floating in a drain in Sector 5, Dwarka on Wednesday morning and informed the police. The cops rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

“There were no external injuries on her body. We have sent the body for post-mortem.,” said DCP (southwest) Sharad Aggarwal. It is suspected that the girl was raped but Mr Aggarwal denied the reports.
A message was flashed about the recovery of a body and the deceased was identified as Laxmi, a resident of Bindapur. Her parents identified the body. Laxmi had left for tuition on February 19 but never returned.
The parents frantically searched for her. Her father finally filed a missing complaint at the Bindapur police station.
