Minor girl ‘raped’ by neighbour

A case of a minor girl being raped and impregnated by a neighbour came to light when she was taken to a doctor for a check up. In another case, a maid was allegedly raped in Sarita Vihar.

The girl, aged 16, was being raped by her neighbour for the past few months at her residence in Naraina in southwest Delhi. According to the police, the youth had a physical relations with her for some time.
The girl’s parents got worried when she stared falling ill very frequently. When the girl’s mother took her to a doctor, she was startled to know that her daughter is pregnant.
After that, the girl told the whole story to her parents. Her parents then informed the police.
The police will get a medical check up done and take further action on the basis of the report.
Meanwhile, a maid was raped by an acquaintance in Sarita Vihar area. The woman, who was from Jharkhand, came in contact with the accused and sought his help in getting a job of a maid in a household. He got her a job which she left after a few days. She again requested the accused to get her another job. The accused then asked her to come to her room and raped her.
The police has registered a FIR and arrested the accused on Wednesday.
