Man stabbed at Metro station

A 21-year-old man suffered stab wounds after being attacked by a co-passenger at Patel Chowk Metro Station on Sunday.

The injured passenger Nitin was rushed to RML Hospital. A police official said the accused has been identified as Kanwaljeet.
“Nitin was de-boarding the train when he had an argument with Kanwaljeet. The argument between them got heated up and in a fit of rage Kanwaljeet allegedly attacked Nitin,” said the police official.
The CISF personnel posted at the Metro station immediately intervened in the matter and overpowered Kanwaljeet. He was then handed over to the Delhi police.
The attack occurred following an argument between two commuters at the door of the train. The train was overcrowded, a police official said.
