Man robbed of car, other valuables
A young software professional was stabbed by unidentified assailants and fled away with his car and other valuables in Delhi’s Harsh Vihar on Tuesday.
The victim, Vivek Choudhary, was returning home in his Hyundai Santro car from the IGI airport. The police said the incident took place at around 1.45 am on Sewadham Road in Harsh Vihar area.
“The victim was driving slow on the Sewadham Road due to bad road condition when an assailant surfaced besides the vehicle and grabbed the keys of his car. The assailant was soon joined by others who forced him out of the car. When he resisted, they stabbed him twice in his shoulder and thigh with a sharp-edged weapon, which left him injured. The accused then escaped in his car along with his cell phone and wallet,” a senior police official said.
He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital from where doctors referred him to St. Stephen’s Hospital. “His condition is stable,” a doctor at the hospital said.
