Man missing from S. Delhi found dead
The body of a 30-year-old man who went missing from his Pushp Vihar residence on Monday was found on the outskirts of Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district.
The police said the deceased, identified as Sanjay Kumar, who ran a marriage bureau in Pushp Vihar, didn’t return home on Monday following which his family called
him on his mobile but he didn’t respond. The deceased lived with his brother and sister-in-law in Sector 3 Pushp Vihar. The family approached the police and a case of missing person was registered at the Saket police station on Tuesday.
“On Thursday, a police team recovered a body near a village in Bulandshahr and it was identified by his family as that of Sanjay. The mobile carried by the deceased helped in locating the deceased. The body was brought to the city today and a case of murder has been registered,” a police official said.
The officials said the family had received no ransom call and the motive behind the murder was not clear. “There are external injury marks on the body suggesting assault. We are recording the statements of his friends and family members,” the official said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem.
