Man held for killing wife, mother-in-law in S. Delhi

A 40-year-old man was arrested on charges of allegedly murdering his wife and mother-in-law in Shahpur Jait area of south Delhi on Tuesday evening.
The police officials said the accused, identified as Muhammad Ilyas was arrested in south Delhi for killing Shabana and her mother Tameezan on Tuesday evening. The incident took place at their D-Block residence in Gata Colony, Shahpur Jait. Ilyas suspected his wife of having extramarital affairs and planned to kill her with a friend who has been identified. Tameezan was standing outside the house and saw Ilyas and his friend come out at 9.35 pm after allegedly slitting Shabana’s throat. Ilyas has reportedly confessed to the crime.
