Man forced into car, then robbed

Three unidentified assailants abducted a 25-year-old call centre employee in their Maruti 800 car, robbed him of cash and other valuables and later threw him out near ITO on Thursday evening.

The incident took place at around 7 pm when the victim, identified as Jeet Singh, was waiting for a bus near Sarai Kale Khan bus stop. He was on way to his IP Extension residence. The police has registered a case against three suspects of the case at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station of southeast Delhi. Jeet Singh, who lives in Pharma Apartments in IP Extension area with his family, was waiting near the bus-stand when a Maruti car came to a screeching halt near him, “One of the three suspects asked Singh about the route to reach Geeta Colony. Singh didn’t understand what the three were asking for and went close to the car when the three dragged him into the car,” a police official said.
Sources said the assailants first threatened Singh and asked him to part with the valuables or face dire consequences.
