Man arrested for raping tenant wife

A 20-year-old married woman was allegedly raped in northeast Delhi’s Sonia Vihar area by her landlord who has been arrested, the police said on Monday.

The accused, identified as Jagdamba, 36, allegedly attacked the victim on Saturday night when she was alone. A complaint was lodged against the accused.
The victim was taken to a hospital for medical examination which confirmed sexual assault,” a senior police official said.
“We have registered a case of rape against Jagdamba and he has been arrested,” DCP (northeast) S.K. Jain said.
