Kirori Mal student thrashed, injured
A BA IInd year student of Kirori Mal College was beaten up with the butt of pistol and baseball bat allegedly by four students of other colleges after an argument over a girl student. According to information, the incident took place at the Arts Faculty.
An FIR has been lodged in this respect by the police after recording the victim’s statement.
A senior police official said that on Monday the victim Rahul had an argument with one Sachin who was talking ill about his female friend, a student of the same college.
“The crowd which gathere at the spot intervened and pacified them,” said the police source.
Later, Rahul got a call from one Gaurav who called him to the Arts Faculty on some pretext. When Rahul reached there he found Sachin and two others already there.
“Gaurav held Rahul from behind and the three thrashed him. Sachin beat up Rahul with the butt of a pistol. The accused then took out baseball bat from their car and thrashed Rahul. Few students rushed to Rahul’s rescue on hearing his screams and called the police. The accused fled from the spot,” said the police official.
The police rushed Rahul to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The police has lodged an FIR in this connection and is looking into the matter.
