Juvenile, 2 others held for murder
The police has arrested three persons, including a juvenile, in connection with a murder case that took place in Vivek Vihar area of east Delhi.
A senior police official said that the accused were identified as Raju, alias Chanakya, Mukesh and a juvenile.A man was found dead at Kasturba Gandhi Park with his throat slit with a sharp-edged weapon.
The deceased was later identified as Manoj Dixit, a native of Kanpur, UP.
The police got to know that Manoj used to work at a mobile shop in Vishwas Nagar and was sacked due to his addiction to liquor. But he was still living in the shop’s godown.
“On August 26, Manoj and his friend went to meet the manager of the shop and demanded money. With this lead, Raju was nabbed. Two more accused were nabbed later,” said the police official.

BJP demands Dikshit’s resignation

The BJP on Saturday demanded resignation of chief minister Sheila Dikshit in the wake of a city court ordering registration of FIR against her and others for allegedly misusing government funds for a 2008 pre-Assembly poll advertisement campaign.
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said, “The BJP’s stand has been vindicated by the court order today. The chief minister has lost moral right to continue. She should resign immediately and if she refuses to do so, she should be sacked.”
Complainant Vijender Gupta also demanded immediate sacking of Ms Dikshit.
“She must be sacked immediately. Order by a court to egistration of FIR against the chief minister is a very serious matter. If she is not removed, we will launch a massive agitation,” Mr Gupta said.
