Jeweller shot at by bikers

A 58-year-old jeweller was shot at by bikers when he resisted robbery attempt in Rohini Sector 16.
The victim Vinod Malhotra runs a jewellery shop in the area.

“On Friday afternoon, two men on a motorcycle reached his shop. They were wearing helmets. They opened fire in air to threaten the jeweller and tried to rob the shop. When Malhotra tried to raise an alarm, the robbers opened fire at him. He suffered a gun wound in his leg,” said the police official.
The assailants then fled from the crime scene. Locals gathered at the crime spot and called the police. The victim was taken to a nearby government hospital. The police recorded the jeweller’s statement and lodged an FIR at the KN Katju Marg police station.
