Govt sends reply to MHA, PMO

The Delhi government on Friday dispatched its reply to the Shunglu Committee report, rejecting all the findings of the panel on alleged bunglings in CWG projects, to the Union home ministry and the Prime Minister’s Office

(PMO). The city government officials confirmed that MCD and NDMC responses to the Shunglu Panel’s report have been attached with the reply.
“The Cabinet today dispatched a final response after an approval of the report prepared by the three-member committee to the home ministry and the PMO. We have given paragraph-wise response to the Shunglu Committee’s findings,” said an official, adding that the government has put up strong arguments against the findings. “We received responses from MCD and NDMC and they have been forwarded along with the Delhi government’s response,” officials said. However, the officials refused to divulge the content of the reply.
