Girl abducted hours before wedding, freed

A girl was abducted hours before her marriage on Friday by a man who claimed to love her but she was rescued by the police.
The incident was reported from Shastri Park area in Seelampur on Thursday and one Naeem was arrested in connection with the incident, a senior police official said.

Naeem claimed he was in love with the girl and along with his friends Naseem, Shakeel and Rizwan kidnapped her late Thursday night. However, the police tracked Naeem through his mobile phone and rescued the girl.
“It was a case of one sided love. Naeem was after this girl and wanted to marry her. She had no interest in him. Naeem came to her house and when the girl came out, they forcefully took her away,” the official said. —PTI
