Financial bungling in Chhattarpur temple?
Amid allegations of the Delhi government not taking any action about the alleged financial mismanagement in the affairs of the trust managing the Chhattarpur Mandir, Delhi MLA Karan Singh Tanwar has sent a reminder to the government again. He had earlier written two letters to the Delhi government in this regard, but had not got any response.
Talking to this newspaper, the MLA from Delhi Cantonment said that he had sent a reminder to the Delhi government last week. “The Delhi government has neither sent any reply to my letters nor taken any action in this regard,” said Mr Tanwar.
In his letter written to the government, Mr Tanwar had demanded that action should be taken into the allegations that there was mismanagement in the financial affairs of the trust concerned. While the top officials of the trust have been denying the allegations, one of the founder members of the trust has alleged financial bungling to the tune of several lakhs.
With the help of RTI pleas, we have gathered information that indicates financial mismanagement, alleged one of the founder members of the trust. He alleged that the Delhi government has not been forthcoming in its RTI replies.
In the latest proceedings in connection with the RTI pleas filed by a devotee in this regard, the government had reportedly sought more time to review the issue.
